Last week's big excitement was Matt's missing tooth. Say what?!! Thankfully it was not the result of a major accident or anything - Matt was actually born without two teeth, and the time came for some of the dental work to be replaced. For a couple weeks, he gets to have fun making everyone cringe with his gappy smile when he isn't wearing his retainer!
One event that sticks out in my mind from last week was the Kindergarten parents' meeting for Noah, which brought the reality of him being a kindergartner in the fall a little closer to reality. He talks about Kindergarten with excitement, and he is really looking forward to riding the bus with Evie. He is showing a lot more interest in sounding out words, writing, and all the things that remind us he is going to be ready for this next step. It feels less daunting since we have been through this transition with Evie, and we are now familiar with the school and the day-to-day of school life, but I am still feeling a little sad at the prospect of our baby going off to full time school. I really adore the days we have together during the week, even when he is just my sidekick for running errands.

Evie had a pretty busy and awesome week, too. Daddy went into school to have lunch with her, she got in one final ski lesson and enjoyed some time at the mountain with Daddy and cousin Elliot, she went to a birthday party at the movies, and she got to try rock climbing for the first time with her Girl Scout troop (she LOVED it!). Sometimes I wish there was more time in the week for all the fun things she likes to do!
