Of course, this prompted Evie to decide her room needed a makeover, too. So, Saturday morning we started taking her room apart (you can only imagine the number of hair elastics, pencils, and miscellaneous pieces of junk we found), cleaned everything and rearranged her furniture. It was a much more involved project than we imagined, but Evie is excited for her "new room." After pics will come next week once things are all put back where they belong!

Another funny story from this week is also a sign of Spring arriving. Back in November, during one of our first snow storms, we built a huge snowman. We pulled out all the stops - scarf, hat, gloves, carrot nose, and the snowman promptly fell over 10 minutes later. One glove was buried, and we never found it. At Christmastime, I bought a scratch-off lottery ticket for whoever found the glove, because I figured the kids would dig and find it in the snow. Three more months went by, and our yard continued to be encased in snow and ice and the glove was still missing. Last week, the snow really started to melt, and Matt found the infamous missing glove! It was like meeting an old friend! Unfortunately, the lotto ticket was a dud.

Other highlights of the week - Family Reading Night at Evie's school with friends (and mom friends), Sophie visiting for the week, biking, swimming, and many games of Uno!
