We usually like to travel as a family, but we divided up for this past weekend, and Evie and I stayed at home. She had homework and dance, and I took the opportunity to do some cooking with some great produce from Aunt Pea's garden!
We had a couple fun happenings during the week - the first being a visit with Aunt Donna! Nothing beats family time, even if it's only for a few short hours!
Another significant milestone last week was that IBM closed their office space in Essex. Matt has been a remote employee for a few years, so it's not a huge change for his day-to-day, but it feels like the end of an era that IBM will no longer have any buildings in Vermont. It feels more noteworthy when you consider the history of IBM in Vermont, remembering that the opening of the IBM facility in Essex was the reason the Zehnacker family originally came to Vermont in 1957!
