Party Time!

As we rolled into Week 2 of school, it was also a week of celebrations!  We started with celebrating Grandpa Tom's birthday and rolled right into celebrating mine.  There were lots of delicious meals and treats, including homemade pizza, a homemade ice cream cake and a fluffy berries and cream cake!

A breakfast treat from Boxcar Bakery! My favorite!

Special delivery, ha ha!

I was lucky that my birthday fell on a Saturday this year, so I also got to celebrate with a big group of our close family members and friends at the annual Family Fall Fest that evening.  Rain threatened to ruin the fun, but then it cleared up just in time for the party!  King Me rocked the stage and kept everyone in the party spirit.  I was completely surprised when Paula had the whole party sing Happy Birthday to me and brought out mini cupcakes to celebrate.  Year 17 of the party was one to remember!

In between all the celebrations, we had a tree removed, which Noah promptly turned into a new mountain bike jump in the yard!  Noah and his neighborhood buddies have been busy expanding it to be a mini bike trail and jumps.  I love hearing them out there after school working together, chatting and collaborating!

We also got out for some mountain biking of our own while the kids were at school!  These September days are the perfect biking weather.

Thank goodness for a clean pond near the parking lot!

One other little piece of excitement is that Noah won this big bag of gummy worms at school!  They had a contest in the library to see who could guess the number of gummies in the jar, and Noah got it exactly right.  What a nice surprise during his first few days of school!
