Go Polar Bears!

Our big excitement last week was a visit from the Colorado Z's for a very quick 24 hours.  We packed in lots of laughs, some festive fall adventures, and we also got to see Stefan play for his college soccer team (Bowdoin) against Middlebury!  College soccer is pretty exciting to watch, and even more so when we have our own player to cheer for.  Stefan's team won, and we got to say a quick hello before he and the team headed back to Maine.

We met up with an old friend of Zeke's at the game (the former Middlebury coach)

The girls managed to put together an Irish Dance performance in record time!

A dreemee - a hot cider donut topped with maple creemee!  Amazingly good!

We tested our stamina for watching live sports that day, because we headed right to two basketball games for Noah after the soccer game!  We made it, but felt like we had hit our limit by the end of the day!

Earlier in the week, we also had a belated birthday celebration for Grandma Karen.  We had a delicious dinner, birthday pie, and played some games.  It was a fun evening celebrating a special Grandma!

This week is Sprit Week at Essex High School, homecoming is on Friday, and the homecoming dance is on Saturday.  Evie is very excited for all of it, and she debuted her spirit week attire yesterday with "Dress like a Vermonter" day!

And a couple other moments from the week...

I got to escape for a bit to go to a winery with friends!

Noah was very proud of his "Cheesecake Factory water" - aka, he added fancy edible flowers from the garden!

Evie styled Frankie's hair...ha ha!  I don't think Frankie enjoyed it!
