Last week was a 3-day school week, followed by a much-needed 4-day weekend! It was so nice to sleep in a little and have some free time after keeping such a busy pace lately. During the short school week, Noah had his first band concert, and then we had parent-teacher coferences for both kids. Everyone is doing great, and visiting Evie's teachers at EHS was a pretty funny trip down memory lane for both me and Matt. It was especially funny to shake hands with Evie's history teacher, who I also had as a teacher during my freshman year of high school!

| It's a little harder to see Noah at concerts since percussion is way in the back! |
Over the long weekend, we had a good mix of relaxation and busy! Noah had some time to play with Simon, and Evie was able to come to Jazzercise for the first time since summer. We had a cozy family movie night and did a little shopping downtown.

Saturday morning, we volunteered at Serve Our Neighbor Day with our church, where we spent the morning raking leaves for an elderly woman. As busy as our day was, we quickly realized it was the best thing we'd do all weekend, because helping our neighbors makes everyone feel good!
We went right from our service project to Noah's basketball, where he played 3 back-to-back games! Noah had a great day on the court, scoring 14 points in the first game, and really showing a lot of improvement in his playing.
Weended the weekend with an fun18th birthday celebration for Colby on Sunday before we headed back to routine on Monday!
