10 Years Old!

Our month of celebration continues, this time with Noah's 10th birthday!  I can't believe it's been a decade since he was born, yet I can't remember life without him, either.  We admire Noah's intensity and passion for the things he loves, including basketball, baseball, biking, drums, music, building and creating.  He is helpful and kind, and a beloved member of our family.  We love you so much Noah!

Part 1 of Noah's birthday celebration was spent with just the 4 of us, since his birthday fell on Memorial Day this year.  After opening a mountain of gifts, we went to a VT Lake Monsters baseball game, then out to dinner at Burlington Beer Co. (they have an awesome arcade and Noah's favorite chicken tenders), and home for chocolate cream pie for dessert.  The big family celebration will follow next weekend, but we had a great day of celebrating our special guy.

We also hit the road to NH for some Irish Dance competitions for Evie over the weekend.  We enjoyed some time at the beach, and did some shopping at the Portsmouth Drum Center and in Kittery, ME in between competitions, so it felt like a mini vacation.  Evie did an incredible job with her dancing, and said it was the best she's ever felt at a competition!  Her results showed that - she ended the weekend with a 3rd Place, a 2nd Place, and finally a 1st place on her last day.  It was very exciting!

Wig prep!

1st Place!!

Matt won the huge raffle prize worth over $500!  Quite a day for these two!

There was a burst of summer-like warm weather before we left, so we scrambled to get a couple spring chores done.  Matt had to re-build our raised garden bed, because the old one had rotted out, and the new one looks BEAUTIFUL.  10/10 rating for his hard work!!  I got the garden planted, and the kids had fun doing water balloons and slip-n-slide with the neighbors.  Add a little baseball and fishing into mix, and it's really feeling like spring/summer!

Matt found those cute little trucks buried in the old garden!

Basketball teammates and baseball opponents!
