The big highlight of last week is that Evie celebrated her 13th birthday on Friday, so we officially have a teenager in the house! She celebrated from morning until night, and at the end of the day, she said it was her best birthday ever. We are just so proud of the vibrant, helpful, thoughtful, kind, smart, hard-working person she is, and we were thrilled to celebrate her special day. The day ended in a magical way, with the Aurora Borealis being visible right from our driveway. Evie, Matt, and I stayed out until midnight taking in the sights!

Noah also had a full week, with Little League Opening Day, a baseball game, and a field trip to the Rokeby Museum. He'd probably tell you that the highlight of his week is an early birthday gift - a new baseball bat!

To round out the celebratory week, we celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday! We went to church and brunch, and then I enjoyed some lazy time (including a nap), followed by a nice walk around Indian Brook. Evie made some homemade soup for dinner as a special treat, which was a perfect way to end the day. I felt loved and pampered, and very grateful for all the wonderful moms and kids (human and 4-legged) that make my life so full!
