We rolled right from Evie's birthday into an early birthday celebration for Noah with his friends. It's tricky that Noah's birthday often falls on a holiday weekend, when friends are busy with travel, sports and other celebrations, so we opted to celebrate a week early. This year's party was at Metro Rock, where the kids did some climbing, attempted the ropes course, and ended with a fun climbing game where they got to jump off the climbing wall and attempt to get a ball in a bucket. I think this was everyone's favorite! There were lots of smiles and laughs, and Noah said it was his best birthday party ever, so we'll call it a success! Noah also lost another tooth this weekend, giving him an extra-gappy smile as he heads toward age 10.

We celebrated Evie's induction into NJHS (National Junior Honor Society) on Thursday. We are very proud of her for applying and getting into this group, because it requires good academics, as well as community service. Quite an honor!
I'm not sure if we should call it a celebration, but we are certainly giving thanks for Grandpa Zeke's health after a scare last week. You just never know what a week will bring, but this beautiful rainbow was a reassuring sign that everything will be okay.
Some really nice weather headed our way for the end of the week and the weekend, so we soaked in as much time as possible outdoors! Matt helped teach the Four Winds lesson on Stream Life to Noah's class (he was in his element finding bugs in the brook!), and there was baseball, pool ball for Frankie, and time to just relax outside.

| Four Winds was a lot of fun! I laughed at Matt for wearing his fishing waders, but he was right. He got right in the brook with the kids and found all sorts of critters! |
