January Germs

We are cranking through the long month of January, fighting off germs, and grateful for the fun activities that keep us going even when it's dreary outside.  The kids both had a cold last week, and in January and everyone seems to be sick!  It's Matt's turn now, and I'm hoping that I can avoid catching this one!

Twinning in our cozy outfits

Braving the bitter January weather to get some outdoor exercise.  It was worth it!

For the fun parts of the week, we had a great Girl Scouts meeting where the girls learned about robotics and had the opportunity to try programming a robotic arm.  It was much trickier than they thought it would be!

Noah's basketball team had a couple of good games, and it's been a lot of fun to see them grow as a team.  I am super proud of these boys!

Evie made Noah some special good-luck basketball pancakes before his game on Saturday!

Matt's band had a gig at the VT Cider Lab on Friday, and it was our first chance to go there.  We met up with some friends, so the kids and I enjoyed the good music, good food, and fun games to play while we were hanging out.  We'll definitely go back soon!

Over the weekend, after Noah's basketball game, we hit the road for New Hampshire for an Irish Feis for Evie.  This was her first time competing at the new level of Preliminary Champs, and she was worried that she wasn't going to be able to dance her best since she had been sick all week and her ear was plugged.  Luckily, by Sunday AM (when she competed), she was feeling much better, and was proud to place 3rd in the competition.  Noah was a little bit impatient with all the waiting, but he enjoyed sampling all the Irish snacks and treats!

We returned home Sunday evening, and now we get to have a very special four-legged visitor for a few days...the amazing Cherry!  Everyone is loving her company!
