We survived the long month of January, and February always starts with a bang, thanks to Matt and Paula's birthdays. We began celebrating Matt mid-week, continued the celebration with King Me at JCAT on Friday night, and kept on partying with a family double birthday celebration on Saturday night.

Matt was a good sport about his actual birthday being a hectic busy day with family activities. Evie had the wonderful experience of playing violin in the District Music Festival, and her concert was on Saturday afternoon. I can remember how impactful these special music events were when I was growing up as a musician, and Evie's experience mirrored my own. She loved the fact that everyone wanted to be there, was focused on making beautiful music, and the conductor was fun, creative and inspiring. They sounded amazing! If you want to listen to the concert, it is available here (the orchestra starts around 24:00 into the recording): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BkMYNZyUQk

| They really butchered Evie's name in the program! The first time of many, I'm sure! |
| Even Ellie was proud of Evie...ha ha! |
Noah also had a basketball game on Matt's birthday, so it was a good thing we spread the birthday celebration out over a few days!

Here are a few other fun moments from last week!
| Cherry was staying with us for a few days last week, and we all fell in love! |
| We had a free evening and played a few games of Blokus. For the first time ever, I used all my tiles! |
| Not to be outdone, Noah used all his tiles in the next game! |
| Girl Scout cookies have arrived on the scene. They're getting sorted out this week! |
| Noah's creativity at work |
| These socks were made for me! Clearly! |
We began this week with a fun Monday night outing to Metro Rock with Evie's Girl Scouts troop. Thank you to everyone who has purchased cookies! They help to fund these fun activities for the troop, and your cookies will be delivered soon! :-)

| Ready for the ropes course! |
| Evie was so brave up there. You couldn't have paid me to do it! |
| Some climbing after the ropes course. I'm amazed at how Evie can climb like this! |
