I sound like a broken record, but last week was another busy week! Evie had an orchestra concert, and she competed in Essex Has Talent with a group of dancers from McFadden. Spoiler alert: they won!! We were shocked, because there were so many talented performers, but the Irish dancers definitely were the most unique act, and the girls did a fantastic job. You can see a video of the performance here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1HRWd1SpTRRXgxYh6 Thanks to all the friends and family that came to support her!
Noah also had a big week. Basketball, of course, is always a highlight, and Noah did some outdoor practice at our neighborhood hoop since we had some unseasonably warm days! It's hard to believe that this will be the last week of our rec basketball season. I have had so much fun helping to coach these kids and watch them all improve. Noah also had the final project for his US states project at school, where he studied Pennsylvania! He learned a lot about the state, and we made some soft pretzel bites together for him to share with the class as part of his presentation. I never knew that soft pretzels were a Pennsylvania specialty!
| Noah built this "defender" so he can practice in the basement against an opponent! |
Frankie also enjoyed the early arrival of "mud season" with some outdoor adventures! While the warm weather was a treat, we are really hoping we get some snow soon. We have been deprived this year!
The weekend finished up with a combination Super Bowl/Birthday celebration on Sunday. We celebrated Elliot's birthday, had a bunch of great food, and watched the game. We let the kids stay up until the end of the game, so everyone started the week out a little sleepy, but it was worth it to see the exciting end to the game!
