It has felt very January-ish during last week, both weather-wise and otherwise. January tends to be a little bit of a quieter month after the rush of the holidays, which in some ways is nice. It also tends to be cold, so we hunker in at home a little more. It's a good time for reading, cooking, etc., but it takes a little more energy and motivation to bundle up and get out of the house.

Noah had a couple basketball games last week, which helped get us out of the house. Every team has those days when nothing can go right, and that was the story of one of Noah's games! He typically doesn't get too discouraged by the wins/losses, but now that I'm helping to coach, I'm the one getting frustrated! Saturday's game was better, so we hope they can keep that trend going.

Evie had her first-ever middle school dance on Friday night, which was a lot of fun. She and a few friends all went together and came back to our house afterward for pizza, snacks and a movie.
