Last week was an exciting week for the boys in the family, because they both got new bikes! Matt had been thinking about getting an upgraded mountain bike for a while, and the perfect used one came along. We felt very lucky to have Elliot's bike mechanic expertise for checking the bike over and making sure it was a good purchase. Quite a special moment for the boys to share!
We had also been eyeing a bike upgrade for Noah, and when REI's bike sale hit, we decided it was time. Noah has been riding a bunch since his camp, and he was starting to ride beyond the limits of his bike. Sometimes it's fun to spoil your kids a little bit, and we loved being able to do this for him!
With all the new bikes in the family, it was only fitting that we went for a mountain bike ride together over the weekend! It was finally a low-humidity day, perfect for biking. While we were out, we had a surprising moment when a huge deer bounded across the trail in front of us. It was spectacular!

| Evie and some neighborhood friends also biked for ice cream! They enjoyed having a little bit of freedom! |
Aside from the bikes, another highlight of the week was an art camp that both kids did together. They had a great, creative week that ended with an art show on Friday!

Over the weekend, we celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary with a nice dinner downtown! That number of years sounds so big, but the time has flown by. We are grateful for one another and the family we've made! The kids were SO sweet on our anniversary. We woke up to a stack of gifts they had secretly purchased (with Grandma's help), wrapped, and then Evie made us an amazing lemon raspberry cake for dessert that night. We felt so loved!
A few other highlights of the week included a King Me gig at Maquam Winery (and the kids stayed home alone so I could go with a friend!), watching Essex Town Little League win the State Championship Game (not Noah's team), and lots of funny Frankie snuggles!

| It's been a tough garden year with all the rain, but we have a few pretty flowers finally starting to bloom! |
