Project Week

For the past several months, Evie has been asking to re-do her room, and we promised to do it over the summer.  Last week was the perfect time, because she didn't have any camps, and Noah was at UVM Basketball Camp for the week.  Cleaning and prepping her room was the biggest chore, but Evie was a huge help, and then we got the room all painted.  Furniture was rearranged, then Thursday was our reward - a trip to the bigger Target in Plattsburgh with friends to get all the accessories for Evie's new room!  We have a few more finishing touches to add, but it's already looking like a big kid room.

Just to add to the chaos, we had a new boiler and hot water tank installed last week (adios, vacation fund!).  For two days, we had no hot water, and at certain points, the gas and water were turned off completely.  My brain was feeling overloaded with all the upheaval in our house in one week!
Out with the old... and in with the new!

Noah had an awesome week at UVM Basketball Camp. He was pretty nervous the first day, but he loved getting to know some of the players, made some new friends, played a ton of basketball, and he ended the week with a sudden-death game-winning shot in the championship game!  I thought my heart was going to burst with excitement for him!

He shoots...and scores!

We also got to visit with Aunt Donna and Uncle Greg (no pic, unfortunately!), we celebrated our goddaughter's birthday, played some pickleball, ate ice cream, and had a lovely summer weekend.  I hate to think that the summer is winding down, but as soon as we turned the calendar to August, that feeling was hard to deny.  We plan to squeeze every last drop out of the remaining summer days!
Lots of love for our anniversary last weekend!

Noah still isn't a fan of many fruits or veggies...even fresh cherry tomatoes!
