Last week was the first full week at home for the kids for the summer! It was nice to be able to sleep in and have a flexible schedule, but I could sense the boredom creeping in as the week went on. We had some pool time, picked berries, dodged storms, and packed for our weekend camping trip at Silver Lake in southern VT!

Unfortunately, our plans for camping were disrupted by Mother Nature on Friday night. There was a strong storm and flood warning for Friday evening, so we opted to stay home and head out on Saturday morning instead. It equated to a lot of packing for a short trip, but we took full advantage of the two days we were there! We had lots of beach time, and a highlight was the paddle boats and canoes we rented to explore the lake. We even paddled over to the general store to get lunch one day! The kids slept in their own tent this year, and Matt made camp coffee to start our morning off right. Tent camping is a fun adventure for a couple nights, but that's about my limit!
