It has been a sticky, hot week! Most of our fun involved swimming or ice cream! :-)
We celebrated our God-daughter's birthday with a swim at the lake and our first trip to the drive-in movies. We had some laughs, because there were mosquitoes everywhere, bats flying in front of the screen, and a skunk that waddled right in front of us! Despite all the wildlife, we had a blast, and thankfully the skunk didn't spray!

The kids had Math through Art camp last week, where they did lots of awesome projects, and helped prepare materials for the 2nd graders to use next year at school. This is a favorite camp every year, and at the end of the week they celebrate with a creemee at Palmer's!
Right after MTA camp got done on Thursday, we headed back to Shadow Lake camp for a long weekend. The forecast was for a stormy weekend, but it turned out to be a perfect weekend to be at the lake. It was hot and humid, so we spent a ton of time swimming, floating, snorkeling, and having happy hour at the beach (thank you Matt!). We played grunts, cards, fished, took the dogs for lots of swims, and we even got to do some 4-wheeling on Aunt Mari and Uncle Jerry's UTV. We soaked up as much summer as we could in 4 days!

Evie convinced Grandma to go out in the paddle boat and jump off in the middle! You know it was hot if Grandma was willing to swim like that!
Usually, we are pretty bummed to come home from camp, but Matt and I ordered new bikes as an anniversary gift to each other, and they are ready to pick up this week. That certainly gives us something to look forward to as we get back into routine!
