It was a busy week of festivities, with cousin Colby's Birthday, and then a weekend full of Halloween celebrations. Even with the festivities, we have enjoyed having a little breathing room in our schedule now that soccer is done. Even though we aren't wishing for the cold weather and darkness of winter to arrive, we appreciate that it helps us to slow down.

Saturday was the first free Saturday morning we have had in almost 2 months! Evie made crepes for breakfast, and then we browsed the Burlington Farmer's Market and carved pumpkins. It felt good to have the whole day without any time restrictions!

Unfortunately, for Halloween, we had soaking rain all day and night. The kids were not deterred, and we went out for lots of trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, and had fun visiting with neighbors, friends and grandparents. We also had fun at our friends' awesome party earlier in the weekend (before the rain!).

Last, but not least, the Frankie journal. She got to hang out with her cousin Ellie a little bit last week since Grandma was under the weather. Frankie and Ellie are close in age, so their puppy energy is a good match for each other, but sometimes the encourage each other to swim in mud puddles, too!
