In the first week of summer, we did a lot of things that had been paused during the quarantine....
We had family photos done:
Evie was able to return to the studio for a private Irish Dance lesson (and got her first pair of hard shoes):
We swam a TON thanks to our first heat wave of the summer:
A really special moment was when we were able to visit with Nana Mil for the first time (other than window visits) since February:
Matt's wish for Father's Day was to do some mountain biking. We went out as a family on Saturday, and then he got to explore some more exciting terrain with our nephew Elliot on Sunday. Matt isn't a big fan of the typical Father's Day breakfast in bed, so the kids came up with the idea of creating a happy hour surprise party for him instead. They worked together to decorate Evie's room, complete with balloons, streamers and snacks. It was such a sweet gesture to show their love for Daddy!
Life is feeling busy again. It's great to get back to many of the activities we've missed, but it feels a bit jarring after so much time at home in the previous few months. We are trying to find the balance and enjoy all the freedom that summer has to offer!

Looks like you are enjoying freedom. We are still only partially open and the condo complex has decided the pool will not open, may change mind later. Love to all, stay safe.
