Fast moving train

This past week brought a big milestone for each kid, and for a moment, I wished I could slow this parenthood train down a bit.  Evie lost her 3rd tooth in 3 weeks, and this one is probably the most noticeable since it's one of her front top teeth!  She has the quintessential 2nd grader smile with lots of missing teeth.  The good news is that this helped her decide on her halloween costume - an inflatable jack-o-lantern!

Taking good care of her chompers at the dentist!

In the mean time, here was some fun we had while trying to figure out Evie's costume!

Noah had a really rough week behavior-wise, with a pretty major meltdown every day (including one where he bit me because he was so mad - that was a first!).  As a way to get him out of the house, Matt offered to go out biking with him and practice without training wheels.  As I was starting to enjoy my hot cup of coffee in the peace and quiet inside, I was called out to see Noah confidently cruising around on two wheels!  It is still kind of shocking to see him riding around like he's been doing it for years, but he has certainly put in his hours of practice.  Now he wants to ride from morning until evening every day, regardless of the weather.  He has big dreams of being a mountain bike racer, thanks to the mountain biking videos he has been watching with Daddy!

He wants a full-face mountain biking helmet now.  This is the one he made out of cardboard!

We enjoyed having a four-day weekend to sleep in a little bit, shop for Halloween costumes, and spend some time as a family.  We went to a corn maze for the first time, and it was really fun for all of us!
