Welcome, October! I am happy that we survived the month of September, because last week almost killed us. We were counting down the days until Grandpa Tom's wedding, and then, as many of you saw, Noah came down with "Ramona" (pneumonia). The following night, Evie woke up with a tummy bug, and threw up all the way down our (carpeted) stairs, resulting in steam cleaning the carpet at 11:30pm. The next day, we found out that my grandmother had taken a fall and had to be hospitalized (thankfully, she is recovering well!). By the grace of God, everyone was healthy for the wedding weekend, which was important since we were all in the wedding. The kids behaved better than I could have imagined they were capable of, and Noah saved his version of the stomach bug for Sunday night after all the festivities were done.

We got to have one more celebration on Sunday, for cousin Liz's baby that will be arriving in just a couple of months. We love seeing the family grow!

Somehow we managed to squeeze in our annual trip to Aunt Judy and Uncle Dave's farm for our pumpkins during our 48 hours of good health! They are so generous to invite the kids out every year and let them pick out any pumpkins they want to bring home.
