Busy vacation week

Last week started off great - warm weather, sunny skies, school vacation week.  Ahhh!  Noah still had school, so Evie and I even got to enjoy some time with just the two of us.  We had a lovely morning on Church Street doing a little shopping and enjoying some treats.

As the nice weather continued, we biked, played wiffle ball, and had fun with neighborhood friends.

Take Your Kid to Work Day is always a highlight of the school vacation week, and this year did not disappoint!  Both kids had a lot of fun trying to "ship a chip", and Evie built a great rocket that she got to launch outside.  Unfortunately, Noah started feeling sick, and came down with a tummy bug as soon as we got home.  Without giving too much detail, trust me when I say it was one of the grossest parenting clean-up projects I can remember.

Despite the tummy troubles, Noah reached another big boy milestone.  He is FINALLY in a toddler bed (yes, he had still been sleeping in his crib).  He's following the rules and staying in his bed at night so far!  Hooray!

The rest of the vacation week included a variety of other fun with cousins and friends...and ended with more germs and rainy weather (UGH).  Noah is very into role-playing and re-enacting things that we read about in books, and it was so sweet to see Evie and Noah able to come up with these elaborate scenes together.

Last, but certainly not least, I became a Godmother for the fifth time over the weekend!  Congrats and God Bless, sweet Emily!
