The house feels a little quiet, because Evie is off at Shadow Lake for a few days with Grandma and Grandpa. This is the first time she has been away from us for multiple nights, and she is having lots of fun (and not missing us at all!). Noah, however, is really missing his big sis and keeps asking when we will see her again. I am enjoying the break, but also missing my girl and all the zest she brings to our family.
Last week was a week without any camps for Evie, so we tried to piece together some fun things to keep our sanity. We hiked Mount Philo, and it felt like a huge milestone that both kids were able to hike most of the way on their own. Of course there was plenty of whining, and Noah needed a few piggy-back rides, but we'll still count it as a success! Even Roscoe was happy!

Noah had some special time with Grandma Karen on Friday, which gave me some time to spend with Evie. I let her pick what she wanted to do, so we went mini golfing, out to lunch, to the toy store and to get ice cream, and then went for a swim. Having one-on-one time with each of the kids is such a treat!
Another fun event we attended was the grand opening of the new Wildflowers Studio, and we are so excited to have this kids' art studio just around the corner from our house! The kids loved exploring the activities and getting their faces painted.
The weekend was full of beautiful weather and celebrations. First, a birthday party for Evie's sweet friend Josie, and then Matt and I had an evening out to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. I am truly grateful for Matt, for our healthy kiddos, and for the family we have created in these 11 years.
And here are a few glimpses into the less noteworthy moments of the week...
