A toothy milestone

The milestones keep rolling in...Evie lost her first tooth last night!  She had been wiggling it for a while, but in the past couple of days it got really loose.  Right before bed, she was wiggling it, and suddenly, she said, "MOMMY!  It came out!"  All I could think about was the angst caused by that little tooth when it popped through her gums 5 years ago. Sleepless nights, drooling, chewing on frozen waschcloths, and the celebration of her first little toothy smile.  Now we will celebrate the toothLESS smile phase!
The first tooth she lost was the first one that arrived when she was a baby!

Thinking about the Tooth Fairy

Noah had his 3-year checkup last week, and he charmed everyone in the office.  He was super chatty, cooperative and funny, and most importantly, healthy!  Noah talked Dr. Hale's ear off about drumming and referred to me and Matt as "these guys" that play in his band, then told him that his favorite fruits are cantaloupe and watermelon.  And, Dr. Hale gave us a good pep talk on getting through the challenging behavior we've been experiencing with Noah.  All in all, a great visit.  Here are his 3-year-old stats:
Height: 39 inches (81%)
Weight: 34 lbs. (74%)

And, the reward for another good checkup - My Little Cupcake!

I don't think I ever posted Evie's stats from her 6-year checkup, so I'll add those to the "baby book" too:
Height: 46.5 inches (73%)
Weight: 44 lbs. (45%)

I also had the chance last week to go with Evie's class on a field trip to the EES Pond with some awesome guides from Shelburne Farms:

Evie came home after her field trip and wanted to teach Noah about all the creatures living in nature

And, the highlight of the weekend was celebrating the beautiful wedding of my cousin Phill and his new wife Karen.  Thanks to Grandma Karen, Matt and I were able to enjoy the afternoon and evening of kid-free celebration, which is always refreshing for the soul!

This amazing grandmother of mine partied ALL night and had a huge smile on her face the whole time!
After a cold and rainy day, that sunset was a welcome surprise!

Beautiful evening, and many blessings to the newly married couple!
