We hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! We celebrated over the course of a few days, but were especially excited to spend some time with both friends and family. Evie had the week off from school and she was delighted with the fresh snow. Every day (when we were hoping to sleep in a little bit), she would come into our room at 7:05am, fully dressed, asking if she could go play outside. How do you say no to that?
It sounds all dreamy to have a week of vacation with both kids at home, but by Sunday evening, I was at the end of my rope. Noah is much more challenging when Evie is home, and among his more offensive behaviors were: pulling the video monitor off the wall, dropping a gallon of paint on the kitchen floor (thank GOD it didn't open), throwing wooden toys at his crib and making dents, tipping over a Tripp Trapp high chair and making a big dent in the wall, hitting all of us, and then the icing on the cake was Sunday night. Noah had opened up Evie's Gingerbread Man toy and had metal shavings in and around his mouth. I had a momentary freak-out while trying to determine how much he had ingested and whether it was poisonous. Thanks to Google and a phone call to my mom, we decided he'd be fine. Of course, then Evie realized that Noah had ruined her toy and began Round 2 of drama. Let's just say we are all grateful for a return to our normal routine this week!

It wasn't all craziness, so here are some photos from the more fun moments of the week. We had a great play date with Jenny and Onyx at ECHO:
