Dear Springtime, where are you?
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we added a little green to our lives...green muffins, green eggs and green milk, homemade Irish Soda Bread, and some special beverages for mom and dad. Despite the name Erin, I have no Irish blood, but we still decided to make it a fun day!

We also had a fun time baking a special cake and celebrating Sharon's birthday last week. The kids LOVE birthday parties!
The other fun event from last week was "Golumpki Day" with my extended family. My grandmother has always made these Polish stuffed cabbage rolls that she calls "Piggies," and my aunt thought it would be fun to get together and have her show us all how it's done. As expected, the ladies of the family showed up for the preparation, and the men showed up to eat, ha ha!
The weekend was fairly quiet, thanks to a cancelled trip to Boston (darn March snowstorm!) and colds for both of the kids. My consolation is that it gave me lots of time to watch March Madness! I rarely watch TV during the day, but Thursday and Friday were exceptions as the tourney began. Evie snuggled in with me since she wasn't feeling well, and promptly fell asleep!
And a few other photos from the week:

She biked to CVS with me, despite her terrible cold. What a trooper!

What do you see, boys?
