Our little guy turned 11 months old yesterday, and he is now in a full sprint toward turning 1 year old. He is wasting no time going from crawling to pulling up to a standing position, cruising along while holding on, and letting go with one hand while standing up. He is also standing up in his crib now, which is super cute, but can also be a problem because we can't lay him down for a nap unless he's really sleepy. Evie was the first one to find him standing in his crib, and she called to us, "Mommy, Daddy, you HAVE to come see this!"
Noah had his first taste of peanut butter yesterday, since newer research is indicating it's beneficial to give it to babies who are under 1 year old. Fortunately, he loved it and didn't show any sign of a reaction to it. He started with an apple slice with a dab of peanut butter, then proceeded to eat about 10 graham sticks with peanut butter. Noah loves to eat, but this was a whole new level of enjoyment for him!
As expected at this age, Noah is very, very busy and curious, and we are babyproofing as fast as we can now that he is more mobile! We had to create "electronics jail" with a baby gate because he pulled the cable box and BluRay player off the shelves multiple times.
And, we had this fun little incident, as well. Any suggestions on how to babyproof plants? I tied the plant to the banister so it won't tip over again, but he still loves to get into the dirt.
There are definitely some days when this seems like the best solution to keep him contained!
Evie had a special day on Friday with Matt at Take Your Kid to Work Day at IBM. Evie was so excited, and she and Matt had their whole morning planned out before they left the house - mini golf, face painting, window drawing, Jolts and Volts, a visit to Daddy's office, and lunch in the cafeteria. Noah and I went and met them for lunch, and I made a visit to my old (now vacant) office. It was quite a trip down memory lane!

As for the rest of the week, it was cold and dreary, and it even snowed, but my outdoor girl didn't seem to mind.
