Happy Easter!

We had lots of fun happenings over the past week, including a visit to meet our friend Erin's horse Karma, a stop at Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, a beautiful (and warm!) Spring day, and Easter festivities.

Evie loved meeting Karma, learning about horses, and helping to brush her and feed her some treats.  Noah also loved the horses, and they nuzzled in to him to show their affection.

With a forecast of 65 degrees and sunny for Friday, I was determined that we were going to squeeze every drop of goodness out of the day before it snowed again on Saturday.  We did all the outdoor activities we've been craving during this long winter: sand table, water table, snacks outside, flip flops, basking, bike rides, 3 mile walk/BOB ride, a trip to the park, maple creemees, and sidewalk chalk.  It was glorious.  And. as predicted, Saturday morning, we woke up to snow.

The weekend was filled with Easter preparations and celebrations.  We colored eggs, and it was especially messy this year.  Evie is so independent that she insisted on doing everything herself.  She loved doing all the decorating and painting!  The Easter Bunny visited our house on Sunday and brought baskets for the kids, and Evie had to find the dozen eggs hidden around the living room.  Noah enjoyed his first Easter and was especially excited about the pinwheel in his basket.

Of course, we went to church as a family (thanks to Donna for getting a great family photo for us!).

After church, we went to Grandpa Tom's for the annual egg hunt.  He had to create 96 different clues that led us all around the house and the neighborhood looking for eggs.  His creative genius never disappoints!  The funniest thing was the bike wheel measuring device (Carly's first clue included counting out 104.5 revolutions with the wheel!).  Unfortunately, Evie has another cold, so she ran out of steam toward the end, but we all had a wonderful time celebrating together.  Happy Easter to all of our blog readers!
