Spring has sprung

The theme of this week has been Spring!  Finally!  With opening day of fishing season, and two beautiful, warm days, we have Spring Fever.  We went for family walks, went to the park, and Noah even tried his first taste (or many tastes) of maple creemee.  There is something magical about fresh air for kids - it can turn around a grumpy mood, and it makes them sleep like a ton of bricks.

Not quite Spring weather this day, but Evie still acted like it was!

Passed out wookies

Noah's vocabulary has also seemed to really take off over the past couple of weeks.  He clearly says "Evie" (Ebbie) and "happy" (although they both sound the same), he claps all the time, and he is also entering the phase of screeching if he doesn't get what he wants.  Just ask all the shoppers that were at Hannaford at the same time we were there yesterday!  He loves to throw things on the floor and say "uh oh!", which is cute but also kind of trying for me.  Roscoe loves this game, as he has feasted on waffles, pita bread, bagels, cheerios, and many other tasty morsels.  There must be a lot of development going on at once, because Noah pulled himself up to a standing position for the first time yesterday, and I also found him sitting up in his crib rather than lying down after his nap.  The boy clearly wants to be on the move, and even though he is still log rolling around, he is moving with a purpose.  He goes for the Blu-Ray player, door stops, potted plants, the dog water bowl, and all the non-kid-friendly items he can get to.  Toys are too easy!  I believe the honeymoon phase is over, and he can't be trusted to sit and play with toys.  I actually don't feel comfortable turning my back for 10 seconds at this point.  This is where Evie can be my best weapon, because she will entertain him for a minute or two so I can at least go to the bathroom!

I blame Daddy for this one!  Super cute, though!

This is what happens when Evie "babysits" :-)
