Play, play, play

Let me give you a topic: Grape-Nuts, it's neither grapes nor nuts.  Discuss!
We have spent a lot of time playing lately, and it's exhausting!  If Matt or I sit down, Evie will come over and demand that we "paaaaaay" with her, grabbing our hands and pulling us over to the toys.  It's impossible to say no!  To break up all the play time, we went to a couple of music events last week, and the one at our local library was pretty good!  We've been to some others that I didn't love, and you know how the saying goes, "If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"  Ha ha!  It's interesting to see Evie's personality when we're out with a bunch of other kids - she's definitely reserved at first, but she warms up, especially if there are fun toys around.

Buttered Noodles is FUN!

Finally taking a break for a snack!  Phew!
We had a little excitement in our neighborhood last week - a hot air balloon landing!  It was especially exciting to Evelyn, who insists on reading her favorite Sally book about hot air balloons about 10 times a day!

Saturday was a super fun/relaxing family day for us.  We walked over to the park and expended lots of energy for everyone (Roscoe, too!).  I think Matt and I would agree that the most perfect days for us are when we can all hang out together without much of an agenda, just being outside and having fun.  We were so impressed with how much Evie figured out in the time we were at the park.  She started out cautiously, but was going down the slide by herself by the time we left!

I'm kind of glad she is still very cautious!  Can you tell that her mom and dad aren't really daredevils?!

Here are a few other shots from the outing:

We love living in VT!

Roscoe was a happy boy, too!

Thank goodness for our walks to break up the endless play time, too!  Yesterday, we must have been chatting so much that we bored both kids to sleep!  Could they be any cuter?
