This week, among other things, Matt and I celebrated 6 years of marriage! Our moms were very generous with their babysitting time over the weekend, and we were able to go out to dinner one night, and then we went out kayaking for the afternoon on our actual anniversary (Sunday). It was such a treat to have some time with just the two of us! As an anniversary gift, Roscoe took a giant dump on the floor while we were gone. UGH. Have I mentioned that he's going through a rough period with his separation anxiety??? Anyway, here are some photos from our fun kayaking outing:
Evie has been a good girl over the past week, and her vocabulary is really growing. She likes to repeat whatever we say, so we have to watch it! Even little things, like, "Oh darn!", she'll go "Daaaaaahhhnnn!" In our most recent Baby Center email, it said that early talkers have as many as 20 words at this age, and I feel like Evie has even more than that. Granted, many of the words require our interpretation, but it's becoming easier to understand her desires (or demands)!
