Last week, Evelyn had her 6-month appointment at the doctor's, and she is continuing to be a long, thin baby! She's 14 lbs. 7oz (16th percentile), and she's 27 inches long (86th percentile). I can't remember her head measurement, but it was in the 73rd percentile. Dr. Hale answered all of our questions, gave her a great bill of health, and then she got a bunch of shots. For some reason, this time it made me really sad to see her get the shots, but they do a great job getting them done really fast at our pediatrician's office. We have continued trying new foods every few days, and Evelyn loves sweet potatoes and bananas so far. If we're feeling brave, maybe she'll get to try a little mashed potato or something on Thanksgiving!
In honor of Thanksgiving, I'm dedicating this blog post to all the things we are grateful for, starting with our sweet, healthy baby girl.

| Matching outfits with Daddy - just a coincidence! |
We are thankful for fun toys to keep our girl entertained...
| Her very own drum! |
| This is her new jumperoo - it's a giant plastic fixture in our living room now |
| She sure loves it, so it's worth it! |
| Wait a minute, that's not a toy! That's mommy's beer! |
| Trying a pretzel, but really just using it as a chew toy! It kept her busy for about 15 minutes. |
We are thankful for Roscoe, even though he's a lot of work sometimes. He's such a sweet boy, and Evelyn adores him.
Most importantly, we are thankful for grandmas and grandpas, cousins, aunts, uncles, and all of our wonderful friends! You have all been so generous and kind to us, and shown incredible love to Evelyn.
