Since they were having a big sale, we decided to take the plunge and buy some furniture for the baby's room. We bought a crib, crib mattress, and combo dresser that will also be used as the changing table. We picked out a glider, but they didn't have the full catalog yet, so we'll be going back to order that soon. It makes things seem much more real now that we have baby furniture in the guest room! Matt still has to go through the fun process of assembling it, and I'll be sure that the Switchback keg is fully stocked before he begins. Here are some photos of the furniture I found online so you can see what it looks like:
We also learned a lot about various items that will be going on our registry while we were there - car seats, strollers, baby carriers, etc. The registry system will be up at the store in the next couple weeks, so we'll be going back and adding stuff then. I've always enjoyed shopping, but I'm pretty sure that Matt had fun, too!We received a really touching gift for the baby from a friend of ours who is a student at St. Mike's last night. (She's our "adopted daughter in faith", so we met through church and support one another throughout the semester. We know she's going to make a great "big sister" for our little girl). She made us a baby quilt while she was on winter break! We are very blessed with wonderful family and friends! Look how beautiful it is:
