Short Week, Long Weekend

Luckily last week was a 3-day school week, because Noah wasn't feeling great for most of it!  He rallied up some energy for us to visit his school for Open House, and then the bonus couple of days off gave him some time to recoup, and we all enjoyed having a chance to catch up on sleep.  No one in this house enjoys the 6:15am wakeup, especially now that it's dark in the mornings!

She is ridiculous!

A busy weekend followed the days off, with basketball and baseball for Noah, a King Me gig, and a girls' trip to the lovely metropolis (NOT!) of Worcester, MA for an Irish Dance competition.  Evie also had alterations done on her new solo dress, so now it fits like a glove!  Evie's competition went well, despite being her first time competing at the Open Championship level.  She was nervous to see how competitive it would be, but she has earned her place there, and she finished on the podium in 5th place overall.  She was really happy with her results!  Noah played well in his games, but his team lost both games to very strong opponents.

Headed off to MA!

New bat grip!

The seamstress lived at the Massachusetts Audubon Center.  What a lovely side trip!

We visited the sheep while Evie's dress was being altered

5th place overall.  Yay Evie!

Fall is definitely in the air, so we have been trying to wrap up some outdoor things and visit some of our favorite places before they close for the winter months.  Friday was our last mini golf outing of the year, and now that weather has turned chilly, and I made one more batch of pesto to put in the freezer for winter.  This week we'll have to bundle up and visit Sweet Scoops once more before they close!

Final batch of pesto for the season!

Mini golf on a beautiful fall day

It wouldn't be mini golf without someone's ball falling in the water!
