Glorious Fall Days

September has shown up in all its glory, with the most gorgeous weather!  Sunshine, warmth and low humidity have us all wishing we could stay in this month forever.  Noah has taken advantage of the nice weather by biking to and from school with his friends - a big leap in independence, since they've been going without an adult!  The boys have been very responsible and safe, and Noah's been loving it.  Somehow he still has energy left at the end of the day for basketball practice.  Ahhhh, to be young!

The September birthday celebrations continued, and we had a double celebration for me and Grandpa Tom, complete with a beautiful chocolate cake that Evie made for us!

We've also been enjoying all the beautiful local produce lately.  Our garden has been having a banner year for cucumbers, and we've had some nice lettuce, herbs, and cherry tomatoes.  Mazza's farm has been our source for lots of other great fruits and veggies throughout the summer, and last weekend we went apple picking at Chapin for the first time of the season!  We were so excited to be back there after they lost the majority of their crop to frost last year.  The branches are bent over with the number of apples on the trees!

Frankie has also been very pleased with the nice weather, and she had a fun Sunday afternoon swimming at Indian Brook!
