School vacation week went by in a flash! Evie started off the vacation week in Montreal with some friends. They ate a ton of good food, visited museums, exhibits, Chinatown, Canadian Costco(!), and went shopping at some cute markets and bakeries. Evie had so much fun, and we were thankful that she had this awesome experience! She loves the excitement of visiting cities and seeing new places, and it's even more fun with friends. We sure are glad to have her back home, too. The house was a little too quiet without her!

We had a day to regroup after Evie returned, and then we headed to the Jay Peak water park for an early birthday celebration for Evie. She opted to do a small group outing instead of a big party this year, so we had a fun and exhausting day celebrating our almost-teenager, followed by a sleepover with a couple of her friends. Luckily, everyone slept well after a day at the water park!

Our next staycation adventure was a hike on Mount Philo with friends, which was a bit of a bust, because the trails are closed for mud season. We walked up the road instead, and we got to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful views at top and VT Cookie Love treats afterward, so all was not lost! However, we'll make sure the trails are open before we go back again. I don't think the kids would willingly go for another walk uphill, ha ha!

The weekend gave us some time to catch up on projects, play some sports, read, and get ready to return to routine. Spring sports, birthdays, and lots of other spring events await us in the coming weeks...good thing we had time to recharge our batteries last week!
