Spring Events

The Spring events are in full swing, and we enjoyed a variety of performances from Thursday through Sunday!  It was busy, but enjoying live music and arts always fills our buckets.  Thursday we celebrated Fine Arts Night for Evie, where all the schools in the district came together for a variety of artistic offerings, and Evie was participating in the band and orchestra.  The sheer number of musicians participating is really impressive, and while it may not be the most musically perfect performance, there is still something special about bringing everyone together for a shared performance.  It was not too long ago that we couldn't do any concerts, so this still feels special.  (Side note: Evie hates playing in this performance, because she doesn't like it when the music doesn't sound great!).

Enjoying Yogurt City after the show!

Friday, Matt had a gig and Evie had a school dance.  This is the second school dance of her middle school career, and another fun night was had with friends.  Noah also had to say goodbye to his amazing teacher, Mr. D, on Friday.  Mr. D is taking a leave for the remainder of the year to care for a sick relative, and we are all going to miss him a lot.

Thank you for a great year, Mr. D!

The rest of the weekend included Swish basketball for Noah, a night out for the grown-ups seeing a live band at Higher Ground (check out the band Tophouse if you haven't heard them before!), and the Lyric performance of Wizard of Oz.  It was a full weekend, and now we're rolling into the first week of Little League!  Thankfully we just have one more week until Spring break!
