It was a special week of celebrating our 12 year old last week! We are so proud of Evie for being true to herself, and finding the activities and friends that bring out the best in her. She loves Irish dance, flute, violin, art, and cooking, and she has a kind and generous heart. She is the best daughter and sister, and I can still remember holding her on my chest when she was born, knowing my lifelong dream of being a mom had come true. We celebrated Evie on her birthday with gifts before school, lunch at a Thai restaurant, a family party in the evening, and a party with a few of her friends on Friday evening. It was a happy and full week, and it's hard to believe this is the last year before she is a teenager!

The fun continued over the weekend as we celebrated Mother's Day! A family meal, complete with a big game of whiffle ball was so much fun on Saturday night. Matt and the kids took me to our annual brunch on Sunday at Chef's Corner (we missed Grandma Karen, who is traveling), and then we visited Nana Mil, followed by some fun playing pickleball with the whole family in the afternoon. It was a perfect weekend of having fun together and giving thanks for all the wonderful moms in our lives.
May is such a lovely time, and the blooming flowers, baseball games, and sunshine have solidified its place as one of our favorite months!
