Celebrations abound last week in our house! On Wednesday, Evie made her Confirmation, and then Noah's 9th Birthday was on Saturday. We also celebrated Memorial Day Weekend with the parade in Essex and at gatherings with family and friends.
Confirmation was a beautiful evening at St. Francis Xavier church. Evie was so mature and proud to be making this sacrament, and she worked hard to attend classes and complete community service hours to prepare for it. We are grateful for all the family and friends that have prayed for her and supported her on the journey!

Noah started counting down to his birthday right after Confirmation! His excitement could not be contained, and he was up twice during the night before his birthday. First at 3:45am, thinking the clock said 6:45. Then, again at 5:15 thinking the clock said 6:15! We let him open his gifts from us once morning actually arrived, and we surprised him with some fun baseball gear that was hidden in the basement (he had to solve a riddle to find it). Noah requested homemade chocolate chip waffles for breakfast, and then we headed out for the parade. He kept saying that it was his BEST birthday ever, all day long! That evening, we kept the fun going with a family party, which brought even more happiness to the day. Noah is such a special part of our family, and we adore his thoughtful, creative, tender-hearted, witty, and hard-working ways. And, he is my #1 snuggler! We can't wait to see him grow even more in all his passions (drumming, basketball, baseball, and more) this year!

The weather was absolutely beautiful for the holiday weekend, so we celebrated the unofficial start of summer (and the opening of the pool!) with swimming, parties, and a hike at Indian Brook. It's going to be hard to return to our routine this week after all the summer-like fun!
