It's been a busy week of partying! First, we celebrated Colby's birthday last week with the family, and then moved on to a weekend of fun Halloween festivities. We carved pumpkins, went to a Halloween party, saw an amazing pumpkin display, and rounded it out with trick-or-treating in the neighborhood last night. I feel like it's time to eat some vegetables and brush our teeth after all that indulging in candy! Ha ha!

On Saturday, we also had the opportunity to participate in Serve Our Neighbor Day through the kids' religious ed program at church. The whole family participated along with another family from our church, and Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Pea offered to come help out, too. We raked all the leaves from the yard for an elderly woman in our community, and it made us all feel good to be able to help a neighbor in need. It didn't hurt that it was a beautiful day for being outside, too!

Frankie isn't sure what she thinks of Halloween. The decorations are scary, the costumes are uncomfortable, and she much prefers running free in the woods. Unfortunately, the ticks are terrible right now and we pulled an engorged tick off her head on Sunday. YUCK.
| Frankie will sit and refuse to move if she sees something "scary" when we are on walks...good thing Daddy is so nice! |
| Frankie the witch - the costume didn't stay on for long! |
| This is Frankie's happy place! |
