Fall Wrap-up

A lot of our Fall activities are coming to an end, and it feels like Mother Nature has a similar plan as the leaves change and the days get shorter!  The kids had their final soccer games on Saturday with the end-of-season Jamboree.  This was the last year that Evie could play soccer through Parks & Rec, so sadly, her soccer career has likely come to an end.  It was a fun season for both kids, and even though it was busy, there is something special about those Saturday mornings at the soccer fields!

Even fishing season is winding down, but Matt has managed to catch some beautiful fish lately!

We also said goodbye to the Wolcott family after a nice visit with them!  I tried to get as many baby snuggles as possible before they left!

Halloween is in the air, and the kids have started getting creative with decorations!  Costumes are being planned (hint: Harry Potter-themed!), but I've resisted buying candy, since we don't have the will-power to resist eating it.

The fall foliage has been spectacular over the past couple weeks.  Even though we grew up around here, the fall colors never cease to amaze us!  The leaf piles have been a great source of fun!

Frankie was happy to run along the trails with us!  The ticks are bad right now, so we found quite a few crawling on her afterward.  YUCK.

Before the weather turns cold, we had to enjoy a final couple of visits to Sweet Scoops.  Their final day of the season was on Sunday! 😭

She didn't get her own ice cream, but we let her have the last few licks!

The weekend weather was perfect, and we enjoyed lots of time outside!

Chef Evie had some time to whip up some treats for us over the weekend!  She made some beautiful cookies at a friend's birthday party, and then she made a delicious batch of maple roasted veggies.  Yummy!
