Our week of Covid quarantine was long, but honestly, we were glad to all be sick at once, and we felt so loved and supported by our friends and family. We were exhausted, and the phone calls, texts, and special deliveries of food and treats kept our spirits high. Matt had the worst of it, with a fever and incredibly sore throat for most of the week. The kids and I had more mild cold-like symptoms with a general blah tiredness. We are all pretty much recovered now, but there is some lingering congestion for all of us. Even though it wasn't something we wanted to go through, it is a relief to be on the other side of it and know that we have a fresh set of antibodies as we go into the summer!

We were freed from quarantine just in time for Evie to participate in the final 5K celebration for her Girls on the Run program. Matt had been planning to run with her, but he wasn't feeling up for it yet, so I ran in his place. I was proud of Evie (and myself!) for being able to complete the run after a week of illness, and we had a lot of fun being a part of such an inspiring and positive event. Nothing like a week of illness to make you appreciate your healthy, strong body more than ever!

Once we were out of quarantine, the kids were dying to get to the neighborhood pool for their first swim of the year! The water was cold, but they swam both weekend days, and it was awesome to be back in the sunshine by the pool. (Somehow I didn't take a single pic, but rest assured, there are MANY more pool days to come!). Another special event over the weekend was a baptism celebration for Noah's friend Simon. These two boys are the best of friends, and I could not get enough of them dressed up in their suits!
