The kids only have a few days of school left this week, and it feels like we already have one foot in summer. The sunny, warm weather has also put us in a summertime mindset! The kids have been swimming most days, and Frankie even went for her first swim of the year at Indian Brook. We enjoyed our first outdoor concert of the summer on Saturday night, took in some live music at Jazz Fest, played mini golf, and (of course) we indulged in some ice cream!

We are all mostly recovered from Covid, but with some lingering sinus congestion. Noah missed another day of school last week because he had so much sinus discomfort and a bad headache. Thankfully he bounced back on Friday for his Little League Jamboree and move-up day!

| Poor buddy! |
There is always a bittersweet feeling for me at this time of year, when so many fun spring activities are coming to a close, and we have to say our goodbyes to beloved teachers, coaches and classmates. At first, the lack of routine in summer can feel a little bit chaotic and it takes more effort to schedule time with friends. However, this has been a challenging school year (for Evie especially), and we are feeling more than ready to move on to summer!

| At least we don't have to say goodbye to THESE coaches! |

Evie and Noah both had move-up day last Friday, so they got to meet their teachers for next year and visit their new schools. They will both move up to a new school - Noah to Founders, and Evie to Essex Middle School! MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! I remember crying my eyes out when Evie was headed to Founders three years ago, and now it feels like a cozy, familiar place that we are excited for Noah to experience. Noah will have the same teacher that Evie had in 3rd Grade, which is great news, and he has some good friends in his class. Evie is on a team with lots of her friends, and one of her teachers next year is a former McFadden Irish dancer, so she felt encouraged by that immediate connection. We are optimistic that they'll both have a great year...but first, we are going to have a fun summer!
