Hold on tight!

Last week I talked about how good it is to have some normalcy returning for the kids, and now we are feeling the flip side of that.  Things are suddenly SO BUSY!  

This past week, Evie started Girls on the Run, which is going to be an awesome experience for her this Spring.  The down side is that it's on the same day as her Irish Dance classes, so Evie leaves the house at 7:15am and doesn't get back until 7:00pm twice a week.  We never wanted to over-schedule our kids, but we decided to let Evie decide about this, and she really wanted to do both activities.  Fortunately, she comes right home after school most other days for some free time!

Noah is going to be playing Little League, and Matt just got roped into coaching, so that's going to add to the Spring fun in a few weeks, too!  We are hoping he has just as much fun with baseball as he did with basketball during the winter.  Until then, he is really intrigued with learning about space, airplanes, and various outdoor fun.

Matt's current exciting thing is that he is playing drums for the Lyric Theatre production of Matilda at The Flynn this weekend.  He has been rehearsing over the past few weeks, and this week he will be practicing every night, followed by 6 shows over the weekend.  The kids and I are looking forward to seeing the show on Saturday!

And me?  I'm very thankful that I have some hours at home during the day when the kids are at school, since the afternoons and evenings are so full! I just try to keep everyone fed, driven where they need to go, and squeeze in a few hours of jazzercise, flute practice, and freelance work for myself.  

As we dove into bed on Friday night after a long week, we were surprised with a little April Fool's joke from Noah!

Our pillows were covered in Matchbox Cars with a sign reading "Ha ha!!" Thanks for the laugh, Noah! 

Over the weekend, we had fun doing some work with Uncle Will on his family's property.  We hiked around, and helped with some building and logging projects.  The kids were helpful and had a lot of fun!

We even squeezed in a quick trip to the playground, since it was finally warm enough to enjoy!
