Lazy Week

We are just getting back into routine after a luxurious week of at-home vacation.  It was a nice balance of lazy mornings, some outdoor/active fun, yummy food, and NO rushing around!  We kept our circle small, but enjoyed time with a few close friends and family, including an impromptu New Year's Eve happy hour gathering at our place.

Unfortunately, Nana Mil's family Christmas party had to be held over Zoom due to the high Covid numbers, but keeping everyone safe is the most important thing.  We still had a lot of fun playing a giant game of Bingo and catching up with the extended family.

The return to school has felt precarious since Covid numbers are at an all-time high in Vermont.  Noah's basketball is cancelled for the week, and Evie's dance classes are on pause while they ride out this return to school week and make sure that the school kids are staying safe.  And, of course, waking up in the dark and walking to the bus at 7:15am was HARD after a week of lazy mornings!  We made a deal with the kids that we can have a mid-week movie night this week if we can get out of the house peacefully in the morning.  Hopefully the incentive works!
