Merry Christmas! Our Christmas was wonderful, and we are thankful to have been able to gather with small groups of (vaccinated) family members to celebrate. The kids were 2 weeks past their vaccination on Christmas Eve (YAY!), which helps us to feel a little safer, as well.
The Christmas festivities began with Grandpa Tom and Sharon, with an amazing meal and lots of fun opening gifts together a couple days before Christmas. The kids love that they get to open a few gifts "early", and we love that they are entertained by the fun new items while we are busy with all the last-minute Christmas preparations!

Christmas Eve, we went to mass at St. Mike's, and I was very excited to be able to play flute with our choir. The whole mass was beautiful, and then we headed to Aunt Pea's for a cozy evening and delicious food. We got home late, and after a few short hours of sleep, Christmas morning was here! Santa came and brought Evie a Bunjo chair and brought Noah a set of football goal posts. Everyone got a lot of goodies in their stockings - even Frankie!

| Noah made a special ornament for each of us - he cut it out, sanded it, and decorated it. This made me a little misty-eyed! |
We headed back to Aunt Pea's to open gifts with the rest of the family, and then feasted on Grandma's famous Christmas brunch. After gifts were opened, the big yard was a picture of contentment: Frankie was running around, Noah had a football game going on, and Evie was trying out her new X-C skis with Elliot. We snuggled in for a couple Christmas movies in the afternoon, and almost everyone had dozed off!

We have been slowly going through our gifts, eating leftovers, playing, and starting to get the house put back together. We are enjoying this week with few plans and lots of mornings staying in our PJ's for a few hours!
