It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house! Saturday was our annual family Christmas Tree hunting expedition. It has become a whole event, caravanning up the side of Mt. Mansfield, hiking around with cousins, analyzing, and then celebrating with munchkins and hot chocolate after the trees are cut. I love that we can do this together every year!

The earlier part of the week was fine, but tiring, as we were all transitioning back from a week of vacation. Thankfully, school went smoothly, and we ended with a cozy Christmas movie night on Friday. It's getting dark SO early now (4:00 is dusk), so we have been spending more time inside, but the kids have been rediscovering some toys to keep themselves busy. Noah dug out a great project book and he's been making different engineering-type crafts. We went ice skating, and Evie has been busily crafting and making Christmas presents. The kids are also happy to go out and play in the snow in the dark, so there have been a few evening play sessions when fresh air is needed!

Frankie did her best to distract us from getting back to work! She usually just lays at our feet, but occasionally during the day, she either gets an obnoxiously loud squeaky toy, or she will slink up and want to snuggle. She was snuggling so hard on my lap last week that it was impossible to work!
