Hunkering Down

We have been pretty hunkered down, with Covid cases surging through the schools and our community over the past couple weeks.  Like most people, I'm feeling weary and discouraged by it all, knowing that even if we do everything "right", we are likely still going to catch the virus at some point.  Is it even worth the sacrifices we are making?  Are our masks even protecting us anymore?  Do we send the kids to their activities or keep them home?  Aghhhh...so much to think about at all times.

Bubble fun

Woodworking project

Good job, Noah!

Evie and Matt finished the final Harry Potter book!  Amazing, and now we get to go to The Wizarding World at Universal (hopefully!)

Games

Bye bye, Christmas tree (waaaaah!)

Sundays are for football - and the Steelers made the playoffs!

Noah's lineup for the game

What to do?  I have no idea, but we just keep moving forward.  Find fun within our house, or outside with friends.  Connect online, do remote Jazzercise workouts, eat good food, and have lots of puppy snuggles.  Hang in there, friends!  We really hope things start to turn around soon.

After an attempt to "snowboard" down the hill on a sled!  Let's just say that it didn't end well!

Frankie loves chasing the sleds, but she DOES NOT want to ride on one!

The best therapy out there = Frankie snuggles

Lastly, here is an unabashed plug for Evie.  It's Girl Scout Cookie season, and her troop has big plans!  They are trying to sell 4,000 boxes as a troop so that they can fund some troop activities, and donate 30% of their proceeds to charity. Here is her site if you'd like to order some cookies to support their goals (we can deliver local orders, and there is an option to ship, as well!): https://digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/scout/evelyn81971
