We are on a fast-moving train toward summer! There is one week of school left, and this time of the year always gives me a lot of big feelings. Saying goodbye to classmates and teachers that we have bonded with over the year is sad, we feel anxious about all the uncertainties of the next school year, and changing gears into a less structured summer schedule is hard. It is also a reminder that time is marching on and the kids are growing up, often faster than we'd like. The kids are excited for summer, so I'm trying not to let my potpourri of feelings overshadow that. We love summertime, and these past few days of summer-like weather have reminded us how much fun we will have swimming, playing, and being outside over the next few months.

We were very proud of Evie over the weekend for competing in her first in-person Feis (pronounced "fesh") for Irish Dance. This was a small, casual competition within her school, which was perfect for her first experience competing. Evie competed in 4 dances in front of a judge, who provided scores and feedback, and they handed out medals. I loved the courage that Evie showed by getting up and doing her best for each dance with a smile on her face.

| Evie had the biggest support crew! All the grandparents came! |
 |
| As icing on the cake, Evie also finished Book 6 of Harry Potter! She is very proud of that accomplishment! |
Frankie is finally done with her heat cycle and we are able to get back to our adventures with her. With the temperatures in the 90's, we have kept the walks shorter, but we've had more swimming time. She especially loved going to Indian Brook for a swim! Even though it's hot, she still prefers to lay right near us at all times!
