Vacation Week

It was "Spring Break" week here last week, and it was a break, but it really didn't feel like Spring!  After getting spoiled with beautiful weather a couple weeks ago, we are a little bit disgruntled with our recent stretch of gray days filled with cold temperatures, rain and SNOW!  UGH!  I had hopes of bike rides, playing at the park, hiking, and doing all kinds of outdoor fun activities while the kids were home for the week.  Instead, we trudged through a few of those activities during breaks in the weather, and then we had to resort to indoor activities to keep everyone entertained - a few movie nights, Get Air trampoline park, Metro Rock for indoor rock climbing, and then we ended the week with a really fun day at the Jay Peak indoor water park.

No more snow!

Evie loved rock climbing at Metro Rock

Noah didn't love rock climbing, but he still tried

A true sign of spring - TICKS.  Yuck!  (We seal them inside a piece of tape and throw them away when we find them on us/Frankie)

It was the perfect week for appointments - like the dentist!

This was a great appointment for me!  One vaccine in!

Being at the water park actually felt like a vacation away from home, and the kids had a blast.  The water slides were the kids' favorite feature, and it got to the point where they could independently go up and down the slides, and they instructed us to sit and relax!  Evie was super brave and tried the scariest water slide ("Le Chute"), but she ended up getting stuck and she had to come out the escape hatch (it turns out she didn't weigh enough!).  At least it makes for a good story!  We also tried body boarding, water basketball, water rock climbing and swam in the pools.  It was a perfect ending to the week.

After a little road trip, we were excited to arrive!

Evie carried the tubes up the big flights of stairs for both her and Noah!

Dinner at the water park - Noah made a chicken tender/ketchup sandwich.  Yuck or yum?!

A big highlight over the weekend was that we got to see Nana Mil.  Like, give her a HUG and see her!

We had Sophie visiting for a few days during the break week, but she was more interested in snuggling than playing with Frankie, much to Frankie's disappointment.  Yesterday was the return to routine, and the kids are now back at school 5 days a week until the end of the school year, which will be here before we know it.

Thank goodness this furry beast is getting groomed this week.  Matt joked that she is starting to look like a Lhasa Apso!
